Cozy Authors get New Orleans Inspiration
We just returned from a visit with old friends, and hoped that we would get more inspiration for future Nina Bannister mysteries. We certainly did! We took several walks around Uptown and between the humidity, heat, cracked sidewalks and unique and unusual houses at every turn we knew where we were. The Carrollton street car was running again and though we didn’t ride it, the sound of it going by was pleasure to our ears. The warmth made crazy growth of all plants, even the plumbago on our friends’ porch. Each and every house we walked by was different from the next; cottages next to mansions, each with a story to tell. Mansions were also found in cemeteries. The family vaults lined up like village streets, tough more silent and still. We also spent an evening in the French Quarter. Dinner at Antoine’s and a drink after at the Napoleon House. Which did we prefer? Just ask and we’ll let you know our opinions.
